IKFT Recognized™ highlights 3★, 4★ and 5★ hotels and resorts where IKFT has identified family suitability signals under the IKFT Kidmetrix™ methodology. Recognition is based on structured review of publicly available information at the time of assessment.

Hotels are compared within their category and geographic market:

- • 5★ USA vs 5★ USA
IKFT currently reviews only 3★, 4★, and 5★ hotels. The star rating reflects official hotel classification, not IKFT's assessment.
Recognition Levels
Bronze
Core family suitability signals identified.
Silver
A stronger range of family-facing signals identified.
Gold
Strong & well-rounded set of family suitability signals.
Platinum
Reserved for future sustained recognition. Requires two consecutive years at Gold level. Earliest possible: May 2028 Edition.
How to Read a Badge
Each IKFT Recognized™ badge shows the recognition tier, the hotel star category, the edition year, and any applicable travel mode tags. Badges are reassessed with each annual Edition.
Stay Style
Travel Mode Tags
Tags describe the stay style — not a tier or guarantee. A hotel can hold a Bronze badge and a Splash & Play tag simultaneously.
Splash & Play
Water, ride, leisure, themed parks, water parks, pools or child focused activity signals, where available.
Nature & Retreat
Calmer, nature connected, outdoor, sports, wellness, or retreat-style family travel signals, where available.
City & Discovery
City access, cultural discovery, practical location, or exploration-friendly family travel signals, where available.
Tags are not safety ratings, award tiers, or guarantees of experience.
